We received, at least 100 phone calls last week concerning coffee prices, our viability to stay in business, and what the consumer is going to do if coffee pricing becomes too cost prohibitive.
Well, allow me to state that our coffee commodities on almost all of our coffees are already in and booked through the year of 2025, all except, Indonesian coffees and Peru, Bolivian coffees which traditionally come in during the 4th quarter yearly. By that time, I hope that the tariff issues will be further negotiated, and not cost prohibitive. Currently, countries are starting to reach out to negotiate bilateral financial strategies to benefit both parties.
As far as our business, we are in this for the long haul, and will continue to bring you the finest 100% Arabica coffees sold online, ethically sourced, sustainably harvested, and offered by some of the best co-op and single origin farmers internationally. So, don't worry, we've got this.
Finally, about pricing, there may be some increases, but we will have to see how this plays out. My concern is the shipping + port increases that will happen as these do every July, so expect a modified shipping increase then. Ports and carrier rates are out of our control now, and we only pass on a small increase as compared to the commercial increases that we receive.
