Costa Rica Hacienda Miramonte Peaberry Washed 100% Arabica Coffee

I don't know why, but sometime around 1994 my palette fell in love with Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu. The flavor profile defined my ideal coffee and it has shaped my tastes ever since and this is the flavor profile I continue to chase.

This coffee comes very close to that flavor profile and has a richness that comes with peaberries. Is it the pinnacle of Costa Rican coffees? Not quite, but it definitely had me wanting to drink more than one round.

Brew methods... hand ground, XL Aeropress for better volume control. Roast, medium dark. You need some oil to form on the beans, but not a lot.

We prefer Arabica (over Columbian) beans. We've purchased the 5lb bag 5 times. It has become our favorite. Presents a very robust brew, less bitter than most dark roasts, with a very slight sweet foam (in espresso shots). The bags have very little debris or partial beans which is impressive.

We've pretty much settled our taste for Central/South American coffees. Particularly the Costa Rican coffees. Both Hacienda Miramonte & Tarrazu are excellent coffees, very satisfying cups for our morning niche.

Coffee is almost always 5 Stars, we have been buying regularly for years. Recently, we now pay for shipping and it is way slower than ever before. This extra cost with slower shipping makes me blue
