I have enjoyed many of the various offerings from Rhodes Roast, including other Yirgacheffe's, but this was a disappointment. Normally, I order a medium grind but this had two choices: medium/light and medium dark. I chose the medium dark and found the bitterness overpowering. I first reduced the amount of beans per grind, then found another local coffee to blend with it to get it palatable.
The Yirgacheffe coffee is our most popular coffee and has all roast levels from light through dark. We do not just have light/medium or medium/dark, but we also have light, medium, and dark espresso roast. Perhaps next time reach out to us or give us a call, and we can guide you on the roasting level that you may prefer. Many thanks for your support. RhoadsRoast Coffees.
